Many of today’s youth seem to be very uninterested to engage in home gardening, tree planting and other agricultural projects. AU Lanka realized that there is an immediate need to reverse this trend, especially since home gardening to be considered as one of the most needed interventions to preserve food safety and improve local economic development. AU Lanka has started Go Green interventions through youths in Vavunatheivu. The photos show that with good technical support & proper guidance youths are willing to engage in Agriculture related activities.
