In collaboration with MoH Vavunathivu we have completed this activity successfully. Area PHMs visited all the malnourished children’s home to identify the Causes for malnutrition. Next they provided a list of children who have malnutrition based on poverty. The MoH gave us a detailed list of 25 families who needed Livelihood support. After confirming the information with LMs it was arranged for all the beneficiaries to meet at the MoH office. Each of the 25 beneficiaries received awareness on Kadai egg’s nutritional value and nutritional elements and then the 25 beneficiaries received 20 kadai chicks each and Rs1700.00 each to build a chicken coop. Since a coop costs around Rs. 5000.00 the beneficiaries agreed to contribute the balance money to purchase the cage.
