We provided complete sets of hand washing units for 19 preschools. 6 Other preschools received hand washing units from World Bank and AU Lanka supported them to complete plumping work. All the work was completed on time to start the schools.
The Zonal Director of Education requested for additional support for 3 preschools to improve hand wash facilities. Even with our limited budget, we were able to support 2 schools for their emergency needs in the Covid 19 situation.
Provision of Safety Gear
As per the government instruction, service providers and school staff must wear mask and wash their hands before and after using equipment and while providing services to the people. Masks and hand wash have been distributed to 200 preschool teachers, lead mothers, government officials and parents who work with us for the community. 56 Preschool teachers, 60 Lead mothers , 15 MoH officials, 01 Assistant Director- Preschool, 01 Preschool Coordinator and 66 Mothers / caregivers benefited by this support.
