Progress Review with Lead Mothers

The quarterly steering committee with government stakeholders to discuss the progress of Lead Mother program was conducted in March 2021. Senior Public Health Midwife and 9 other midwives along with 21 LMs and AU Lanka staff participated in the meeting. The Lead Mothers from each location shared and presented their progress and changes in children life. The SPMH appreciated all the lead Mothers for their valuable hard work to community, mostly with 0- 5 years children’s parents. The SPHM also noted that 99% of the mothers with their children attended to monthly weight clinic. 95% of the LMs supporting to PHMs for home visits. Reduction of child protection issues in the said locations and Increased nutrition food practices among parents, to name just a few of the positive comments. [wp_paypal_payment]
